    Video Game Design

    We will introduce students to Game Design where they will learn the logic behind game design and a step-by-step process to create a game. They will understand how to define the rules, understand different elements, and understand how they can translate them into an actual game. Let's learn and have some fun!

    About Pavi

    Pavithra Lakshminarayan (Pavi) founded Mindbytes through which she creates and provides year-round programs that address core skills and creates Young Geniuses. She has over 23 years of work experience in information technology and education, focusing on learning design, content creation, training, and operations. She has been an advisor for various education and research-based projects and ed-tech start-ups around strategic planning, curriculum design, course development, training, and integration. She is on the leadership team for the South Jersey STEM Innovation Partnership Network and chairs an early childhood learning priority group at the New Jersey STEM Pathways Network. She is also on the board of the New Jersey Association for Gifted Children. Pavi conducts workshops on integrating technology in classrooms and has integrated technology into gifted programs.
  • Medieval Poetry

    Dig deep into Medieval Poetry, and let your own poetic energy flow as well!  John will share some poems from his own published book, and inspire you to experiment with some poetry of your own. This session is sure to satisfy your hunger for abstract, deep, and complex thinking!

    About John
    For thirteen years John Zedolik taught English and Latin in a private school. Eventually, he wrote a dissertation that focused on the pragmatic comedy of the Canterbury Tales, thereby completing a Ph.D. in English. For the past four years, he has been an adjunct instructor at a number of universities in and around Pittsburgh. He has published poems in such journals as Aries, The Bangalore Review (IND), Commonweal, Orbis (UK), Paperplates (CAN), Poem, Pulsar Poetry Webzine (UK), Poetry Salzburg Review (AUT), Third Wednesday, Transom, and in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He recently published a full-length collection, Salient Points and Sharp Angles (CW Books), which is available on Amazon.

  • Aqua Survey Presents

    Anyone interested in buried treasure? Environmental engineering?


    On Wednesday, June 10 from 9 am to 11 am, Aqua Survey will share actual field videos, photos, drawings, and live discussions.  Topics include:
    • Collecting sediment cores to support engineering and environmental decisions and to interpret past civilizations
    • The use of advanced geophysics to locate lost Spanish treasure, natural gold nuggets, hidden unexploded bombs and pipelines
    • How environmental toxicology can save you from drinking water contaminated by terrorists
    • How our projects take us around the world performing science-based services.
