    Cardboard Carpentry

Special guest Zachary Rotholz of Chairigami will lead a Cardboard Carpentry Workshop, custom designed specifically for FlexSchool students!

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Yale and a Masters from the Stanford Design Program,  Zach Rotholz uses principles of design thinking and structural origami to teach the fundamentals of cardboard carpentry.  He'll lead you through a design process rooted in play, resourcefulness and iterative prototyping to make cardboard come alive!

Why cardboard? Cardboard is forgiving to work with, sustainable, readily available and can be used to quickly create incredibly strong, functional structures.  It is familiar, inexpensive and an excellent entry point into physical prototyping in the virtual realm. Cardboard allows you to prototype wherever you go, so you can design and iterate on the fly.
