    Wear your favorite patterned clothing: stripes, polka dots, tie-dye, animal print, etc!
  • Prop making with Wayfinder!

    On Friday, November 4th, the BX campus will be joined by Wayfinder for a creative prop making event. Live Action Role Players will teach our students about the art of making props. They’ll decorate masks and more! Then, they’ll use those props to create character back stories.
  • "My Personal Planet" - Collaging with Savannah Green

    Artist Savannah Green will be joining the Berkeley Heights campus on November 4th.  She will lead the students in a collaging project entitled, “My personal planet.” Using different materials, students will brainstorm how they imagine their ideal planet. This hands-on activity will allow students to get creative and learn about the forgiving art of collaging.  Students are encouraged to bring photos, magazines, or paper materials from home that they would like to incorporate! Glue can get messy - so please dress accordingly!
  • The Green Cause x Cloud Campus

    Students from The Green Cause will be joining the Cloud Campus students on Friday, November 4th. Organizers from The Green Cause will teach students about food waste and composting initiatives.  Together, students will brainstorm how to introduce more sustainable practices at home. There is also an opportunity for students to form their own chapter and delve into environmental research!

    Hudson River Extravaganza

    Hudson River Clearwater educators will visit the Bronxville campus on November 18th. They will present live fish and macroinvertebrates at two learning stations. Students will have the chance to identify fish and aquatic invertebrates. They'll also have the opportunity to experiment with water testing. The lesson will cover life cycles, adaptations and human impact. This hands-on, interactive program promotes a personal connection to our river through the examination of the diverse life in the estuary.
  • Investigating the Lincoln Assassination with Detective McDevitt

    It’s 1865. President Abraham Lincoln has just been assassinated. Detective James McDevitt is on the case. But he needs your help! Cloud students will embark on an investigation with Detective McDevitt. As deputies, it is their job to keep track of what the detective finds and help him come to a conclusion. In this interactive program, students will be asked to recall evidence, witness statements, and clues. Ultimately, they will vote on the guilt or innocence of each of the conspirators. Students are encouraged to follow along using their Deputy Notebook
  • Mindfulness Music Practice & Collaborative Beat Making

    Cornell “Lord Judah” Carelock will join the Berkeley Heights Campus from the ArtsWestchester artist residency program. He will guide the students in crafting a collaborative beat and lead a mindfulness music practice. For years he has worked with youth to create participatory experiences utilizing music and visual art. His workshop will encourage students to write about a positive future. They'll also explore different beats and tempos and decide which best suits the lyrics.
