Gifted Identification
Gifted Identification Resources

If you believe your child may be gifted, you may be considering testing. Gifted identification programs, also known as talent searches, are designed to identify students with exceptional academic abilities and provide them with opportunities to further develop their talents. While these tests do not take the place of a full evaluation, they may use lower-cost standardized testing and other assessment tools that can provide helpful data as you determine the next steps for your child.
Below is a list of programs that may offer gifted identification testing for your child’s age group:
- Baylor TIP: Talent Identification Program
- Johns Hopkins University CTY: Center for Talented Youth
- Mensa Testing
- Northwestern CTD: Center for Talent Development
- University of Iowa BESTS: Belin & Blank Exceptional Student Talent Search
- Western Kentucky University The Talent Identification Program of Kentucky
