Our Curriculum

FlexSchool’s inquiry-based curriculum combines dynamic, strengths-based academics with the social-emotional learning and executive functioning support that gifted and 2e students thrive on.

Engaging & Flexible

Small, discussion-based classes encourage high-level discourse while providing the scaffolding students need to meet individual goals. Learners who show advanced mastery may accelerate into higher-level or AP courses within small groups of gifted and 2e peers.

Integrated & Interdisciplinary

Courses connect ideas across disciplines, helping students understand how concepts relate and apply beyond the classroom. Projects often blend humanities, STEM, and the arts.

Collaborative & Reflective

Our classrooms invite curiosity, critical thinking, and connection. Students learn to articulate their ideas, listen to diverse perspectives, and reflect on their own growth as learners and individuals.

Scaffolded Learning Support

FlexSchool’s structured circle of support helps students build, connect, and apply executive functioning skills such as planning, organization, and metacognition, in school and beyond.

Advisory

Our faculty lead small group check-ins where students build peer relationships and learn essential skills needed to set themselves up for success.

Extended Learning Time

All student schedules include regular opportunities to work independently or with optional support from teachers and learning specialists.

Supportive Classroom Environment

All faculty receive specialized training in 2e best practices, including engaging, strength-based learning activities, clear expectations, and structured routines to support success in the classroom.
