Counseling & Social-Emotional Learning

Small-Group Social & Emotional Learning

Students meet weekly with counselors and peers to process their social-emotional experience and build key social skills such as perspective taking and respectful debate.

Counseling On Demand

Our counselors maintain an open-door policy throughout the school day, so that students can access support any time they need it.

A Collaborative Network of Support

Students retain their own mental health care providers. FlexSchool counselors proactively maintain regular communications with students’ providers.

Executive Functioning Support

Advisory

Our faculty lead small group check-ins where students build peer relationships and learn essential skills needed to set themselves up for success.

Extended Learning Time

All student schedules include regular opportunities to work independently or with optional support from teachers and learning specialists.

Supportive Classroom Environment

All faculty receive specialized training in 2e best practices, including engaging, strength-based learning activities, clear expectations, and structured routines to support success in the classroom.

Every student’s path beyond high school is unique. At FlexSchool, our post-secondary counseling team provides individualized guidance to help students define success on their own terms—and achieve the highest outcome possible for them, whether that means college, a gap year, or another fulfilling direction.
