Caroline is thrilled to be joining the FlexSchool Support Staff in promoting the well-being of the school community and serving as the Berkeley Heights' school counselor. She holds an M.S.Ed. in Counseling and Mental Health Services and an M.Phil.Ed. in Professional Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. She has experience working in independent schools with students with unique strengths and challenges, instructing social skills classes, leading psychoeducation groups, and providing short-term solution-focused counseling to individual students. She credits her personal and professional experiences with having shaped her passion for working with students from diverse backgrounds, those with diverse diagnoses, and those with diverse needs. Caroline believes that the role of the school counselor is to serve as a liaison between parents, teachers, and students to ensure that all students find social, emotional, and academic success. She brings a blend of evidence-based and person-centered techniques to her work at the FlexSchool and looks forward to connecting with, learning from, and supporting students as they overcome obstacles and reach formative milestones.
