Bill Morse Scholarship

Next opening for the 2025-2026 school year, the William M. Morse Scholarship is named in honor of Dr. William Morse who has been an advisor and mentor to Jacqui Byrne, Founder of FlexSchool, since he was her admissions officer at Yale in 1980. Bill has been an educational consultant for over three decades, founding William Morse Associates, Inc., and his passion for education was, in part, an inspiration for FlexSchool. He is an advocate for small schools and personalized education. Dr. Morse resides in Connecticut.

This Scholarship is given to one high school student who exhibits natural leadership ability, a zest for life, strength of character and courage of heart, and determination of a dream. It will subsidize half of the student’s tuition for the remainder of his/her/their enrollment at FlexSchool. The Scholarship is open to incoming high school students.
Interested students should contact the school admissions office to receive an application form. Once we have your scholarship application information, it will be shared with the Head of School and reviewed along with your FlexSchool application essay.  We will also schedule a follow up conversation with you to talk about your list. The meeting will be with at least two members of FlexSchool, one whom you have already met.
Bill is an avid traveler and has performed and taught the Irish flute in various countries, including Xiuning, China.
