Cloud FlexFridays: Afro Cuban Percussion with Damon Grant

Cloud FlexFriday students will join award-winning percussionist and educator Damon Grant for a very hands-on workshop! Damon will demonstrate Afro Cuban percussion instruments and styles, share some history, and guide participants through hands-on percussion techniques. No special equipment or instruments required!

As a performer, Damon has played in the house bands for American Idol and The Voice and performed in London at the gala event for the 2012 U.S. Olympic team. He was also a member of the American Music Award winners The Bomb Squad, and an original cast member of the Emmy and Tony award-winning show Blast! As an educator, Damon teaches percussion and has performed clinics at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, events for the Percussive Arts Society throughout the USA and Canada, and The Peruvian Cajon Festival.
